Finding and meeting Henbane to me was like that feeling of meeting the ancient GrandMother, the Elder Spirit, the path of coming home to my roots. There is this powerful mistery that lives through this being. It was one of the most important plants in the ancient European tribes and cultures, and the history of it’s use goes back a long way. How do you feel only by staring at this being? I know, something creeps up deep inside each one of us when we cross paths with Henbane. ✨
It’s a shame that this plant and others like some of the nightshade family still got that purely wrong stamp of the infamous, the “bad one’s”, only dark vibes or the devil’s plants from the dark days of the Church and the Inquisition, and most of the people is still looking at them in that way. It’s a trip, we must pull out of that train!
There is no fight between light and darkness. One is perfectly dancing with the other for eternity. There is a balance in everything and it can’t ever go out of balance. Where there is much light there must be same portion of darkness and vice versa. And this goes to everything including us. Experiencing that and integrating it is the beauty of life.
Henbane is one of the most powerful allies to show us that dance that goes on and on. And you know what, you cannot fight it! Just join the dance. 🌀🛶
Henbane also has a strong affinity with the bats, when I’m handling or working with Henbane I always have meetings and something going on with bats too. Bats can orients itself in total darkness by ultrasound tones that are beyond the range of human senses. 🦇
Nothing is hidden within Henbane. It’s the perfect mirror to us.
